I have a CHM file I would like to decompile and I follow the instructions to do so (through the HTML Help Studio), but I keep getting the error:
---------------------------
HTML Help Studio
---------------------------
Invalidate target path name.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

I am trying to extract to a valid network drive that I have full access to. Can someone please help?

Thanks!

Hi tmccoysrc

The only suggestion I can offer is to try decompiling to a local folder on your C drive. If you really want the extracted contents on the network, copy them there after you get them extracted.

that worked, but I still didn't quite get everything that I wanted out of it.

What I really want to do is move an entire project off of my local drive onto a network drive and when I do that all the pages are not "found" in the compiled version.

HI again

Are you talking about a compiled .CHM? When you move the .CHM you get the message? If so, take a look at the following link: Click here to read about the issue

If you really want to use RoboHelp output on a network drive, WebHelp is your better choice here.

In addition to Rick's suggestion, keep in mind the following:

Edit the RH source files on a local drive.
Generate the RH output files to the local drive.
Publish the RH output files to a network drive.
(opt.) Copy the RH source and/or output files to a network drive.

Good luck,
Leon
