Windows Vista 64 Home Premium

Internet Explorer 9.0.8112.16421 (32 bit)

Firefox 11

Flash Player 11.2.202.233

Until the last update, I was able to run Flash files without any problem in both IE and FF.  The latest update has forced me to have Flash player installed for IE -or- FF, but not both.  If I clean install on IE, when i try to install in FF, it gives me a BSOD.  The opposite also happens.  Clean install in FF, try to install for IE, get a BSOD.

Any clue on how to get Flash player installed for both again?

Hi,

Please refer to ESET's knowledgebase article here:

http://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=content&id=SOLN2981&actp=search&viewlocale=en_US&searchid=1334932383743

You may need to update your AntiVirus software.

Thanks,

Stephen

What is the BSOD error code (and module, if indicated) during the install?

What is your display adapter, device driver version & date?

Are you using the offline installers from http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-windows.html#Install_in_a_... ?

If I'm reading the right info..

the top line of the BSoD is

DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

The error code down below is

STOP: 0x000000D1

eamonm.sys

my laptop hasan Nvidia 8700M GT

Driver version 8.12.11.8621

Driver date 6/16/2009

I did double check for an updated driver, what I have appears to be the latest supported available for the video chipset.

I currently have Firefox working at the moment.  IE is where Flash isn't working at the moment.  If it would help, I can get IE working and the repair can be on Firefox.
