I followed these instructions BUT the APPLY button is not clickable for me. Why?

            Have you:

            1) Selected the text or text box you want to apply your animations to?

            2) Selected the animation you want to apply?

            3) Ensured your text is only one line long?

              Welcome to the forum.

As a side note, if you have more than one line of Text (Steve's # 3), you can create multiple Titles with only one line of Text, or can skip the Animation Presets, and Keyframe the Fixed Effect>Motion>Position, or other Effects, over time.

              Good luck,

Thanks, it wasn't clear in the online video training but that solves my issue.

It's pretty clearly spelled out in my books, if you're interested.

                    hi Bill,

Could you elaborate more on that? I am trying to create a simple list using a title. I figured I would do it by creating several separate lines of text and use crawl function/keystone to make each line of text come in separately every 2 seconds. Either that or use a template. This is driving me nuts because I can't get it to work. Can someone please help me?  I have searched the web and there is nothing about making a simple animated text list. Can I just do this in PowerPoint and import it as a clip?

                      CittyKitty,

I would not use the built-in Title Animation Presets, but would instead, create the Titles separately - one line of Text per Title, and then place them on separate Video Tracks, one above the other, adjusting their Durations, as needed. Then, adjust the Fixed Effects>Motion>Position, and possibly Motion>Scale, to create the animations required.

Other Effects, that can be quite creative are: Opacity (Fixed Effect), and Blur (several different ones, that need to be added from the Video Effects list), and adjusted, as is necessary.

Those Effects (and most others too) can be Keyframed to change over time. Keyframing is easy, BUT the "concept" can be tough to grasp, initially. Steve Grisetti has written several Basic Keyframing articles/tutorials, that are on Muvipix.com. He steps one through the concept, and then the exact mechanics, for PrElements. It's similar for PrPro, but there ARE differences, regarding the mechanics.

Keyframing is a very powerful tool, and is only limited by one's creativity. Once the concept has been grasped, and the mechanics worked out, it becomes great fun, and can be used to create some visually exciting animations. Every moment spent learning Keyframing will pay dividends later, because of the power.

                      Good luck,
