Why My Flash Player doesn't work?

It shows that it is installed but when I try to view something I am asked to installed again. very frustating. I don't know what is going on.

I am having the same issue.  I am running Window 7 and Explore 9.  When I am on the Flash Player Help page (Flash Player in Three Steps) the "Check Flash Player version on your computer" box is empty.  There is no error and no Flash Player version and no OS information.  Yet if I view Installed Programs in Control Panel I can see the "Adobe Flash Player 11 ActiveX" is installed.

Please help.
