Harm Millaard Apr 24, 2012 12:30 AM (in response to Saad Khan)Turn off Maximum Bit Depth and try to rename .MOV to .MTS. Maybe that will work and bypass the QuiRcktime Server with its 32 bits nature. It looks like standard AVCHD material, so maybe renaming the extensions will help. Maximum Bit Depth only complicates matters.

Saad Khan May 4, 2012 12:01 AM (in response to Saad Khan)hi. It's a lot quicker, however it's still not as easy to scrub through. Would you reccomend encoding the footage into something else? I've read the forums and heard people talking about twixtor. Is that a good software for me to get? I'm thinking because I'd like to convert the footage so that it's smoother to scrub through when editing.

Harm Millaard May 4, 2012 1:29 AM (in response to Saad Khan)Twixtor is similar to Timewarp in AE and is used for slomos. For transcoding to a format that is easier to edit and puts less strain on the system, look at Cineform.

Saad Khan May 9, 2012 12:32 AM (in response to Harm Millaard)Hey Harm. Problem solved. Cineform gave me another software to use. They said that they will phase out the Neoscene. The one to use for converswion of all or most files will be... Cineform Studio. There is a free version which does some files, but then you have a Premium version which does pretty much all of them. $299
