Are you using auto archive when you build the app? I think you can turn it off so it wont automatically delete your downloaded folios.
Anyway, I agree DPS is not reliable all the time, and when its up its pretty slow. I hope it gets better too.
Let's make it worse: I had some issues of a magazin on my former iPad. Then I switched to my iPad "3" and restored my iTunes-backup onto it, so all my apps and data reappeared on my new iPad. However, since the backup doesn't include Folio files, I also needed to download all my beloved issues again, just like you. A time-consuming nuisance one has to go through, whenever you update to a new viewer or a new iPad.
But I promised it would get worse. Here we go: since some publishers seem not interested anymore to host certain back issues, I can't see or download my older issues ! They simply don't appear in the Library ! What do you think about that ??
Peter, that is sad. If a publisher decides to pull the issue from the
server, that's like burning down their own library of things.
Apple wanted adobe to stop downloading such large data into the storage
that will be backed up. So issues now go into the cache, that will not be
uploaded to the Icloud storage.
Because you buy a 64gb iPad, but get only 2Gb of online storage.
