1. Re: I have a business card from a client with live editable fields. How do I get rid of those?
P Spier May 2, 2012 2:16 PM (in response to TwitchOSX)Export to PDF (Print) and uncheck the Hyperlinks and interactive checkboxes.
By default Acrobat and Reader will treat things that look like URLs as hyperlinks when you view the PDF, but they shouldn't throw any flags.

TwitchOSX May 2, 2012 2:41 PM (in response to P Spier)Yea... I don't think it actually threw flags... but when I called tech support to find out, he just had notes from a guy in pre-press saying "when I click on the link on the back of the business card, it takes me to the website".... which is stupid to even be doing stuff like that, but I can't argue with a phone tech person who knows nothing so I'm trying to just get rid of it so I can re-submit. Thanks for the info though.

3. Re: I have a business card from a client with live editable fields. How do I get rid of those?
TwitchOSX May 2, 2012 2:46 PM (in response to P Spier)Hmm... just checked and my preset for sending PDF files out doesn't have any of that stuff checked. Down under "Include" on the general area of Export Adobe PDF, neither Hyperlinks or Interactive Elements are checked. I saved the PDF and the link is still clickable in Acrobat. Looks like ANY url will be clickable on a PDF. I wonder why their pre-press is freaking out about this.

P Spier May 2, 2012 3:06 PM (in response to TwitchOSX)I wonder the same thing. First of all, it's a non-issue as far as I know, for a print workflow, and second, he should reset his prefernces so the links aren't made automatically in Acrobat.

lilia@ May 2, 2012 3:50 PM (in response to TwitchOSX)You could flatten the pdf... so the fields are no longer editable.

printisnotdead Jun 15, 2012 6:55 PM (in response to TwitchOSX)You might need to flatten it. But the image shown by Larry seems to solve the problem. What did you do to solve it?
