I bought an eBook from BooksOnBoard which required my to download ADE on my PC in order to transfer the eBook to my Nook Color. The eBook opens in ADE. The problem occurs after I connect the Nook Color to the PC. ADE recognizes the device, but then ADE freezes! Please Help!

There was a software upgrade to the Nook that has caused this issue for

others. I'd contact B&N and discuss the problem.

Thank you. You can let them know the procedures I tried:

My B&N ID and my ADE ID are the same – my e-mail address!

My Nook connects and updates from the B&N Website.

I registered my ADE with Adobe using the same ID I have for B&N and ADE.

Originally I followed Books on Board directions and, in my PC (Windows XP Professional), I opened ADE first then opened NC.  ADE recognized a device was attached, then Crash!

I re-started my PC computer !

Next I followed Adobe Forum directions and opened NC first.  (NC has a folder named Adobe Digital Editions and another folder named Digital Edition) then I opened ADE. ADE recognized recognized a device was attached, then Crash!

I hope they can fix this! I purchase ePub editions from B&N and other sources. If B&N is  blocking my uploading eBooks that utilize ADE I will not be happy!

I'm sorry to disappoint you. I don't work for Adobe, and, while some Adobe

employees do read the Forum posts, there's no reason to expect that they

will be able to do something. That's the job of the Adobe Help desk and

support functions.
