Unable to edit images after installing CS6

I just installed CS6 on my macbook pro.  The installation was successful, and I'm able to open files in CS6.

Lightroom 4 is also installed on this machine, and I noticed lightroom updated the external program to CS6 (from CS5).  When I select an image and choose to edit it in CS6 from inside lightroom, CS6 launches but the file never opens.  I've re-installed, and can't seem to get and files to open in CS6.

Can anyone offer some advice here?  I'm realy stoked about getting CS6 working with Lightroom.

Thanks,

Chris

It seems to work now after a complete system reboot.

Sorry, I thought I was done with that after moving away from Windows.

You probably need to manually update file handlers/ associations. Select one of the files in Finder, right-click --> Info, then choose the default file handling application. Other than that you can always inquire in the LR/ PS forums for specifics.
