Flip MP4 to Elements 9 problem

I'm trying to import an MP4 from a flip camera into Premiere Elements 9. I get the message 'This type of file is not supported, or the required codec is not installed'. I have two PCs with Elements 9 and they both have the same message for this camera.

Any suggestions gratefully received

I am not sure if v9 has a setting for that camera... but read these for ideas

Of course Premiere Elements works with Flip camcorder video! If you set it up right.

When you start your Premiere Elements project, make sure your Settings are set to Flip video (either HD or standard, depending on your camcorder).

Then plug your camcorder into your computer and use Premiere Elements' Get Media/From Flip AVCHD and Hard Disk Camcorders to get the video from the camcorder into your project.
