When I Try To Directly Download After Effects Cs5.5, It Tells Me That Access Was Denied ??
Jamrak7 it appears other users have posted regarding this as well. I would recommend you try repeating the instructions given on the site again. Perhaps try an alternate web browser this time? It is also possible there could be some time in the next days when the trials maybe unavailable as we prepare to make Creative Suite 6 and Creative Cloud available.
I have followed the instructions closely and came about the same deadend the other customer dicussed. Would you just please make our lives easier with a solution that works!!
Let me provide you a work around inorder to download the product.
Try to open the trial download link of the Light-room 4.
Keeping this page open, try to download your product.
ACCESS DENIED on all files.
it worked but i was actually looking forward to download illustrator or creative suite. do you have a link for that?!
Is the link still available to download 5.5 somewhere else? The link you give takes you to CS 6...
I read all the posts and replies by Adobe and none of them helped. I was experiencing the non-responsiveness from the Download Assistant after having successfully downloaded CS6 trial on my iMac but having the problem on my Macbook Pro.
Using the direct link to the file is working like it should and was the SOLUTION. For CS6 the direct link is: http://prodesigntools.com/adobe-cs6-direct-download-links.html
Save hours if not days of frustration and get the direct link to the file.
The download assistant is just aweful and Adobe should get rid of it now.
Thank you LloydTodd I have updated the link in parent message for this thread.
I'm still getting access denied to CS5.5 DMG's. I'm looking at my install disc right now but my DVD drive on my MBPro isn't working so my only chance at reinstalling 5.5 is to download the trial and enter my license.
c1natra33 as previously mentioned in message #2 if you are receiving the access denied error it is due to not fully completing the instructions. You need to make sure and log in and download a trial through the typical method before you can utilize the direct links. If you have further questions I would recommend reviewing the comments at Prodesigntools.com.
Let us make it simple for you, first sign in to Adobe.com, go to any product and click on 'Try', when you are done with that, and the download starts, then cancel it.
paste the Direct link and the download will start on its own.
Thank you for your time Nitin. Worked.
For the next person, these are the all-important instructions that Jeff refers to:
- Adobe recommends temporarily turning off any surfing restrictions you might have running, like site or cookie blocking, firewalls or antivirus software.
- Click «here» to visit this page like you want to try Photoshop CS6, and then select the “Download Now” button at the bottom.
- If you already have an Adobe ID, then please sign in with it (checking “Remember me“), otherwise take a minute to create one for yourself.
- Now close or cancel the windows for that trial of Photoshop CS6.
- OK, you’re logged in now at Adobe with the trials cookie set, so you can instantly download any of the software below. Just make sure you have enough disk space.
- Download the files either by clicking directly on the DDL links, or by right-clicking and choosing “Save Link As…” on the popup menu – and save all files to the same place.
- Then follow the product installation instructions here.
Thanks for re-Iterating it for some next person, I Appreciate it Buddy
Dont Forget to add a 'Yes'/No to the reply that helped to help community get better ;-)
if you are having this issue on a mac, here is your solution
just skip pass the verification window you get when opening the disk image and you will not run into any problems.
HTTP/1.1 403 Forbidden
Miqrogroove where are you receiving the forbidden error? What are you trying to download?
I was trying everything I could think of on my end to download the InDesign trial from this link:
I must have tried it a hundred times using every browser, download manager, login, logout, whatever. At one point the server sent me a 1.2 MB file that was corrupt, but on all other attempts it just errored out. The current response entity is:
You don't have permission to access "http://trials2.adobe.com/AdobeProducts/IDSN/8/win32/InDesign_8_LS16.exe?" on this server.
When I switched to the 7zip file and after many more attempts it finally downloaded. The exe link never worked.
I don't know if this is a security thing or a failed server but it is not a good way to distribute software either way.
If you are receiving the Access Denied error then you need to set the cookie to access a trial on our server. Per the directions on Prodesigntools.com which were also reposted in message #14 you need to initiate a download prior to trying one of the direct download links. If you don't have the cookie set you will be unable to initiate the download.
I did just test it and I was able to initiate a download for both File 1 and File 2 of InDesign CS6. I was on my home network utilizing Internet Explorer 8 under Windows 7 64-bit.
After jumping through all the hoops in the instructions yet again with Internet Explorer 8, it gives me the same 1.2 MB corrupt file as I get in Chrome, except it names the file "InDesign_8_LS16" whereas Chrome names it "InDesign_8_LS16.exe" by default.
HTTP/1.1 200 OK

As you can see, the problem is not on my end. The server isn't even sending the correct response header.
Miqrogroove, If you dont mind me asking, Are you doing this while you are signed into Adobe.com
The ideal way to do it is to log in to adobe.com,
Initiate any products downlaod by clicking on try and Eventually "Dowload Now"
You can retry this link by replacing "xx" by "tt" in "hxxp" below -
for me no flash cs6 download method is working. the downloader is not working, the direct link is not working. the cookie-method is not working.
such a crap system here...
Are you receiving any specific error messages?
By the way, since it isn't mentioned yet on those pages, I guess I should talk about it :
Those files are also downloadable from Adobe's public FTP server ( ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/cs6/downloads/ ), using either a "normal" Internet browser or, better yet, a FTP client (such as FileZilla or CyberDuck), which allows resuming of downloads in case they get interrupted.
In addition, this method doesn't even require to log in with a specific account on Adobe's website.
no direct downlload possible.
i always get access denied.
Please reread this thread in it's entirety jjet2 as your inquiry has already been addressed previously.
Thanks for posting about direct download. I was finally able to get the files downloaded, but they won't extract. I get to around 99% complete, and then it says that I either don't have enough room (I've got over a tb) or I don't have permission. If I try to extract the .7z file manually it says '~~~~~~ file is corrupt.' I've been trying to wrap my brain around this for days. What am I missing? T_T
Which version of which program did you use to attempt extracting the .7z file ?
If it was a different one, you should try 7-zip 9.20. However if it also says the file is corrupted, then, it must be. Such things may happen when downloading huge files : then you should try redownloading.
I was trying to download Indesign 5.5. Like others have mentioned before, I tried to initiate a download of another product by going to this link:
However I'm getting a "Site Area Temporarily Unavailable" page so I cant go any further.
Anybody else getting this?
Yes we are facing some temporary issues with our server. We are currently working to resolve these difficulties.
Can you give us an update as to the status of your servers?
I've been trying to install CS6 using my Cloud account but for the past 2-3 days my download has stopped at 99% Downloaded. I also tried doing it using the direct links from http://prodesigntools.com and I'm getting that same issue 99% and download stops.
They have been back up and functioning properly since approximately 5 P.M. PDT on Friday. You likely are facing a different issue Appwebllc. Please feel free to post a thread with the details of your difficulties to the Creative Cloud Download & Install FAQ forum - http://forums.adobe.com/community/download_install_setup/creative_cloud_faq.
Hey Guys, I've tried the direct download links several times and they are not working on my computer. I've just noticed that File two of CS6 Master Collection is a .txt file, is that right? I have had the 101 error using the assistant, also had parts missing error from the direct download, please help...!!
I hadn't, I'll try Filezilla now, thanks. I'll let you know how i get on
Find the trial you want, find the link, right click, open in new tab, then the donwload will start i had the same problem.
can anyone confirm the Adobe Web Premium CS5.5 English Mac DMG downloads successfully on this third party website?
I have tried downloading it over 10 times for the past 2 weeks, and it always "completes" at exactly 2.15 GB (when its supposed to be 4GB)
This is getting incredibly frustrating, why is Adobe relying on prodesigntools, a third part website, to host their previous versions? That is not very professional.
I've tried on different networks, different browsers, ethernet, everything. it fails at exactly 2.15GB each time, very suspicious that its on their end.
Where can we just get our CS5.5 downloaded (from ADOBE servers) which we paid money for?
Prodesigntools is not hosting the files they are giving instructions on how to reach the older version downloads. The install files themselves are still being download from Adobe's servers.
If you are facing difficulties with the download using the direct download instructions then it is likely your current Internet connection is causing the problem. If your network is managed please contact your I.T. department. If it is not then please contact your Internet Service provider as it appears you have a 2.15 gigabyte limit to download files.
