Hi, I'm sorry if this question has been asked before. I don't really have the vocab for this so bare with me.
Is it possible to cut sections of a clip, and drag those to a section where I can store them for future references without removing them from the original clip? For example, I have a clip that's 1 min long. I cut it at 20s - 30s. Is it possible to take that section and place it into a folder(in premiere) for future reference, without disturbing the original file? I have quite a few large clips and want to compile a reference section more or less. Any help would be great
Take a look at 'SubClips'
This may suit your purpose
What ever you do in PPRO is non destructive so realise that you have not actually "cut" your clip. ie It remains intact
There's actually a simple way to do this. When your clip is in the timeline and you cut a section of the timeline using the razor(shortcut C), you can rightclick on that section and just click subclip. It's a very beginners perspective, but that's where I'm at
