First, learn all you can about HTML & CSS code. DW expects you to know the fundamentals.
Next, find a pre-built CSS Layout that has all the columns/containers needed for your project. You'll find several resources in the link below.
Finally, work through some Adobe Tutorials to get familiar with Dreamweaver & how it works.
