Hi all,
I am using RoboHelp X5 in order to deliver a CHM output.
The CHM interface does not include the Locate button.
How do I configure RH to display this button on the generated CHM?
Thanks,
Avi

Hi Avi. If you go into your window's properties, ensure that the "Locate" button option is selected.

If you click on the Project tab in RH you'll see a folder called Windows. Expand this to see the windows used by your project. Next right click on the window to be changed and select the Properties popup menu item. This is the procedure for RHX5. If you are using an earlier version it may be different and I'll have to dig deep into my memory banks to find the answer.

Hi Avi,

I go all the way back to version 8 and it's pretty much the same procedure. But I'm curious as to what the Locate button is. I've seen it in the button list but when I've included it it has never done anything. It is greyed out on most topics and occassionally it becomes active, but I click it and nothing. So, I'm wondering if there is something else you might need to do to make it active.

Hi John

As I understand it, the Locate button *SHOULD* cause the currently displayed topic to be highlighted in the TOC. However, I've seen mixed results with it. It's been my experience that often it doesn't work as it should.

Personally, I've always been a fan of keeping it turned off, then choosing to automatically synchronize and highlight the selection instead.

Cheers... Rick
