I edit footage from the Nikon D7000 without issues on my older I7 920. For a newer machine, it shouldn't be any problems. If it is, try solving that instead of converting.
If your machine can handle the footage without any problem edit native.
I love Cineform, so easy to edit.
Downside; files are rather big.
Hi Ann. Thanks! Was curious, when the project is done, do I need to then put the native footage back in the place of the cineform files? Or can those cineform files be used to then make my movie and get it ready to get sent out to film festivals and other stuff? As in, once I convert, can I just use those files to finish the project up? thanks!
You can export your timeline with cineform clips to any format you want including Cineform avi's.
