    Prelude crashes on launch

Prelude CS6 crashes on launch on Windows 7 for me as well. Looks like it could be a VST plugin issue:

If you uninstall the Kontakt 4 plug-in does Prelude launch successfully?

My Mac runs Prelude, with Kontakt 5 installed, without issue...so there's hope! We have a good relationship with Native Instruments.

Does the problem persist after rebooting?

[Curious to see your answer to Wes' question]

                Hey,

Well after rebooting Prelude still crashes but error message is now reporting that Massive is causing the problem:

Perhaps if I keep rebooting i can cycle through all the NI apps and it will launch!

I haven't tried uninstalling NI plugins. Really would like to avoid that considering the amount of DVDs it is to reinstall.

                Any ideas?

PPro may have moved on to the next one, because the first one failed.

I recall with Kontakt 4 (and some older NI products) that you had to actually launch the point product version before the plug-ins would actually work.

Could you launch each NI app directly, reboot for luck, THEN try launching PPro?

Thanks! I luanched each NI app individually and then restarted. Prelude launched fine. Slightly annoying but at least not game-stopping now.

                      Great, glad it worked!
