1. Re: New for RAM previews???
Mylenium May 21, 2012 10:34 PM (in response to AudoWarp)Your memory is betraying you. The RAM cache always was resolution dependent and would disappear, if you changed resolutions and AE couldn't hold all the buffers in memory. And check the Preview panel for your otehr issue - as it's always been, too.

2. Re: New for RAM previews???
AudoWarp May 22, 2012 1:48 AM (in response to Mylenium)Not true-- I just tested in AE CS5:
Its not about changing the resolution--its about changing the view size.
In CS5, I can render a RAM cache at 50%, and then switch to "Fit in View", and the Green bar doesn't disappear.
In CS6 it does.

AudoWarp May 22, 2012 1:50 AM (in response to AudoWarp)Stranger still, going down in size removes the green bar.

4. Re: New for RAM previews???
AudoWarp May 22, 2012 2:01 AM (in response to AudoWarp)Okay, so you can increase the zoom in CS6 without losing the bar, but if you zoom out--the cache disappears.
This isn't true in CS5--the green bar stayed for both.

5. Re: New for RAM previews???
Mylenium May 22, 2012 2:06 AM (in response to AudoWarp)Ah, I see. Perhaps something with the new hardware acceleration stuff vs. on-screen display routines for the rest.

6. Re: New for RAM previews???
AudoWarp May 22, 2012 2:13 AM (in response to Mylenium)Does that mean it can be turned off? Or is it a bug?
It sure isn't ideal--i need to zoom out to see my work......

7. Re: New for RAM previews???
Mylenium May 22, 2012 3:25 AM (in response to AudoWarp)I would assume it's either a bug or a "design limitation" due to how the graphics hardware needs to shuffle buffers around. I doubt it can be turned off, but perhaps using final quality in teh comp window and thus foregoing fast previews might avoid the issue.

8. Re: New for RAM previews???
AudoWarp May 26, 2012 6:01 AM (in response to Mylenium)It has been remedied in the update!

9. Re: New for RAM previews???
AudoWarp May 27, 2012 4:36 AM (in response to Mylenium)Oops!
My bad..It has NOT been corrected--If I go from "Fit in View" to "50%"--RAM cache dissappears.
Yes, it comes back when I return to 100%--(I think this is the new feature in CS6), but I think it would be nice if the frames were cached no matter what size I looked at them--as it was before.
