    Convert swf to exe

    socalfish Community Member

I'm wanting to find an app that will convert my swf to an exe without using AIR. Need to deliver a course with external links to PDF and EXE files.

      Any suggestions?

      THANKS

open your fla and change the publish settings to publish an exe.

            Thanks kglad.

This I know but it puts the Flash Player as the title and the Flash Icon. I just learned how to change out the icon, and now I'm looking to change out the TItle on the bar. I'd prefer to use the publish as exe so all my links keep working. In the past apps I've used were difculot because the links stopped working and are not reliable to me.

Got rid of the Context Menu above but had to move my course up -20 pixels and then shorten the height by 20 pixels. It all fell inside the area fine. If you leave there is a gap on the top and bottom.

            THANKS

you can use zinc (but it costs money) or hire someone (that has zinc) to do those things for you.

kglad, thanks for the input way back there. Zinc is a good tool but a little on the costly side since I would only do one or two flash files a year. Found a program that allows me to edit the exe file and make minor changes, ResourceHacker. This worked great because all I want to change is the Title and Icon. At least in CS5.5 I could. But now in CS6 when I edit the file one of the strings I changed, the title is missing. No matter what I do and change in there, the title always Adobe Flash Player 11.

Could this be because I'm running a Debug Version of the Flash Player?

Any suggestions where this is being drawn from?

                THANKS
