Hi there

How are you accomplishing the PowerPoint in RoboHelp? Can you provide more detail about the process you use to get it into RoboHelp, how it's launched and all that?

After you have clicked the first slide, does Enter then work or are you forced to click all slides to advance?

Cheers... Rick

Hi Rick,

Steps I have followed:

1. Save the PPT as Web Page

2. Import it as HTML file

3. Link the topic to the TOC

4. Copy paste the PPT webpage files (folder) into the webhelp folder.

5. View the PPT in slide show.

This is how it forces to click all slides to advance, enter or any key on the key board is inactive.

I am using Robohelp HTML 8.0.2 version.

Thanks,

Madhavi.

Hello again

Well carp - I have PowerPoint 2010 and it would seem that they have removed the save as web page function. So I'm guessing you are using an older version of PowerPoint.

So I have some questions for you here.

If you run the PowerPoint created web pages without RoboHelp in the picture, does the Enter key work then?

Can you possibly do me a favor and create a simple three slide presentation with just text saying perhaps Slide One, Slide Two and Slide Three, then save that as a Web Page and zip it up and send to me so I might test on my end to see what's what? Send that to rstone75 (at) kc (dot) rr (dot) com

Cheers... Rick

Hi Rick!

I have saved the sample powerpoint as webpage, it acts similar. The slideshow does not allow enter or any key on the key board. It forces to click advance.

I guess, that's the reason ppt with robohelp doesn't allow key board keys.

Is there anyother way I can import PPT's and make the key board keys active.

Thanks for your help,

Madhavi.

Hello again Madhavi

I saw your private email but the problem with it was that the attachments had been removed. So they failed to come through. I'm guessing it was your own servers or email client that removed them. But I do appreciate the effort.

Realistically, if you want to get PowerPoint into RoboHelp and have an Enter keypress advance the slides, you need to consider using Adobe Captivate or possibly iSpring converter (the free version would likely do for this type of conversion).
