I'm exporting a project to Android and I'm wondering if there is a way to package Android apps so that items are not visible when outside of the bounds of the stage. I know that I can create masks around top/bottom/sides, but I'd rather the exporter act more like when I'm exporting to iOS or HTML. Objects outside of the stage are not visible.
I realize that Android apps are running inside Air (I think 3.3 has a captive runtime?). So maybe that has something to do with the way it is being interpreted ...
I just don't want to add any elements in the app that reduce performance just to mask the limitations of the exporter.
why do you have objects outside the stage then if you're cognifzant of the fact they will impact performance?
Many of the objects in my project move offstage. I can't have them dissapear when they touch the boundaries of the stage. I set their visibility property to false when they are fully out of view, so they are still visble as they travel off stage.
I need to know if it i possible to have Flash/Air perform the way if does on iOS/Desktop when I package for Android.
