Ann Bens May 27, 2012 9:58 AM (in response to Keano66)If you captured the file but cannot rename.
Delete it from project.
Rename in Explorer or Bridge.
Reimport.

John T Smith May 27, 2012 9:59 AM (in response to Keano66)I do not capture HDV from tape, so I did not pay "much" attention to the previous discussions, but there have been previous discussions of this problem
I have NOT used it, but many say to try this for HDV capture http://strony.aster.pl/paviko/hdvsplit.htm

5. Re: Capturing HD video in CS6.0.1
Ann Bens May 27, 2012 10:19 AM (in response to Keano66)I name the clip in the capture window before capture.
Thats why I did not have any trouble.

6. Re: Capturing HD video in CS6.0.1
Keano66 May 27, 2012 10:48 AM (in response to Ann Bens)Thanks for the info, Ann. I just captured sucessfully the one hour tape. I just let PPro decide what it wanted to be called ie untitled 03 (or something like that!) I will take on board your suggestion. Thanks again

10. Re: Capturing HD video in CS6.0.1
Keano66 May 27, 2012 1:36 PM (in response to Keano66)It saved it....but under the title of 'Untitled Clip 4' and not what I initially called it. Ah well, it's not perfect but at least it has captured it

11. Re: Capturing HD video in CS6.0.1
Keano66 May 27, 2012 3:14 PM (in response to Keano66)Well, I'd just like to add to this fiasco of capturing HD video. I am once again capturing another tape. The thing is now, I cannot see any video in the capture window. I was able to see everything before. No idea why this happened. I don't normally capture using HD tapes - I am normally an SD man! I think I will only accept jobs which uses SD footage! I have renamed all my HD files via Windows explorer. I did try to do this using Bridge cs6...except that it kept freezing and I had to do a Ctl-Alt-delete. I think I can hear the call of CS 5.5 calling me back!!

Keano66 May 28, 2012 4:54 AM (in response to JSS1138)Thanks Jim! I meant to post late last night but went to bed! Yes this did do the trick. My mistake - I typed into the 'TAPE NAME' bit instead of the CLIP NAME! Oops! Thanks for your help in this (and Ann too! Ann you were right!)
