When I wanted to run the FlashPro CS6, shareware, I encountered the error message
" FlashPro encountered a fatal exception. FlashPro will now terminate.
A log of the program's internal state at the time of the exception has been saved in this file on your desktop:
FlashPro crash log .mdmp
Please report this exception by entering a bug with the log file.
This file will help us in tracking down the source of the error."
Other CS6 programs like photoshop can be used well.
What do I have to do?
Well Ladies & Gentlemen, the Solution to my Flash Pro Crashes have been due
to working off a server. I simply save to a folder on my desktop and backup
to the server before I leave for the day. No More Crashes!!!... Thanks

What it says. Contact tech support email and attach the file. They will help you.

Your reply is not funny!
WHERE is this tech support email?
The "Bug Report Form":
https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform&promoid=EWQQL
is useless, since I cannot attach this crash log file.
I'm currently evaluating Flash CS6 and I got the same message.
File name: FlashPro crash log (1).mdmp
"Please report this exception by entering a bug with the log file."
Where? How?

Hi ,
If possible can you try the scenario where Flash Professional crashed on any Mac system and then copy the crash dump generated and send it across to us for investigation.
We will check and let you know what was causing this problem.
Further if there is any backup file generated when Flash crashed , you can send that fla also to us.
Thanks and regards,
Sudeshna Sarkar

"Further if there is any backup file generated when Flash crashed , you can send that fla also to us."
Sorry, no backup/recovery fla files available.
But I do have now 3 crash log/dump files:
FlashPro crash log (1).mdmp
FlashPro crash log (2).mdmp
FlashPro crash log (3).mdmp
I can send you these files if you tell me WHERE I can actually send them!
Adobe's bug report is useless since there's no Flash CS6 option and e-mail address' are nowhere to be found.
I tried to reproduce the error but no success. So far it happened three times in Flash CS6.
Generally it happened after a "Replace existing content" operation ("Resolve Library Conflict" popup).
I copied a movieclip with other nested and tweened movieclips, and one or two bitmaps.
There was a library conflict because I deleted one or two bitmaps OR changed the JPG compression setting (don't remember, could be a combination of both).
Since something appeared weird (I think the bitmap was not visible), I repeated the copy operation.
Since the result was still strange (don't remember what), I inspected the movieclip in question.
In that movieclip, all media layers and frames, at least appeared as usual.
BUT the top-most layer with AS code had frames added, probably as many times as I repeated the copy operation.
A few seconds after that Flash CS6 crashed.
The same day (May 30:th) it happened a second time - I stubbornly tried to do same thing - and it crashed, however the second time the crash occured faster (I think I never got a chance to inspect the movieclip).
Flash CS6 crashed again June 5:th, however this time it was a different file. But it also involved solving a library conflict.
In May, Photoshop CS6 did also crash several times, but after upgrading my gfx drivers on my old laptop and/or selecting/deselecting some GPU acceleration option in Preferences, the crashes stopped. However this might be a memory issue, since I have only 3GB of memory on my laptop and I had several Adobe programs opened and Firefox.
No crash logs from Photoshop.
I'll try to replicate this on my new iMac...
Regards,
Greg

If I go to https://bugbase.adobe.com/ and click 'Add bug', none of the dropdown options relate to the problem that I and asdqwxvb ds are experiencing!
The messaging that you get with the error is so unhelpful...
'Please report this exception by entering a bug with the log file'
How does that explain to me what I'm supposed to do!?
Could someone please give me an email address I can send this file to??

OK, I think I prematurely posted some thanks for the bugbase link. I've also realised there is no Flash CS6 option. Where do we send or post these (multiple) error log files?

That site doesnt even list Flash, just Flash Player.
Flash Pro is what quit, or crashed.. How do we upload our "Crash Log" that appears on desktop. (Which we cannot open)?
Thanks,

You can use one of the three options:
1. If you have CC account, then upload the logs there and share the URL
2. Use google drive or any other such file sharing service and share the URL
3. Post a comment here, go to edit .. it will give you an option to upload the file (as shown in the little screenshot below)

Thank you for your response "dharmk" and helpfulness. However, I am not allowed to send company files/info off to a "stranger".
Is there any way to fix this on my end??.. Thanks again, C.P.

Hi Cody,
Unfortunately, there isn't much that we can tell from the screenshot. We need the logs for finding out the reason for crash. The crash dump doesn't contain any sensitive data.

Dharmendra.

I do not see any Edit option or way to attach a file here. The "bug" site would not allow me to attach the crash log.

I have had this issue for a long time and I really do not think there is a solution from Adobe. Flash crashes and they know it, but are either unwilling or unable to fix it. It happens on Mac and PC. I reinstalled windows and flash, and still have the problem especially when working with shapes. I had issues before with RAM causing the problem, so I may try to swap some out in they let me.
I suggest saving as a different file name every 10 minutes. Sometimes when Flash crashes on auto save or just when I try to save-as, it will corrupt the file and everything is gone. "Unexpected file format"... That has cost me at least 40 hours of work.
Uploading a crash log or asking them for help is useless. They will ask you what the ambient air temperature was and which way you were facing when the error occured.
Just Google "Flash crashes" and see what you get

I'm having the same problem as the original poster, except I get the "fatal exception" error every time I open Flash. I'm able to work for about 30 seconds, then the program terminates itself. It's really getting frustrating and I can't finish any of my work! Is there really no one who can tell us what to do to fix this?
