CS6  from a texture artist perspective?

    kirkr5689 Community Member

Is it worth upgrading for a someone who works not in a photo or design area but in 3d content creation, texturing?

Maybe some cool hidden features not mentioned on their site? I actually found a few   in the previous version.    Thanks.

Painting improvements, 3D improvements, performance improvements -- yeah, there's a long list of reasons for you to use CS6.

Look at the coverage on the web, or just download the trial and give it a try.  (though  I'd look for some of the feature lists, because there's too much to discover on your own)

Thanks for the reply.  I would like to find a bit more specific info.    For example if it possible to paint several texture layers i.e. height/specular/color simultaneously in extended PS version (I have the standard one)?   Does it allow to paint depth aware above a displacement map ( being set as a non destructible and adjustable 16-bit alpha mask or some other way)?

I have not enough time right now and afraid I just waste my trial period for nothing as usual. The trial version does not allow to use it in a production,  right?  So I would like if somebody point me some texture art specific tasty things. Otherwise I just would probably will have not enough time to found them myself.
