Administrator Rights Error 6

Hi,

Win 7 32 Bit

PC in good condition, only Office Programs and Adobe 9 Standard installed.

Trying to install Adobe Digital Editions, both through assistant or calling setup.exe.

In both cases I am asked whether I want to install as current user (who already has admin rights), or new user. I first tried as current user, - see pic below - but "Admin rights couldn't be given (or so, translation from German), Error 6".

I created a new user in Control Panel with Admin rights, same message.

Now completely stuck.

Never had this problem before (usually install programms ask if I want to continue with admin rights, no problem then).

What now?

Administrator rights relate to the way Windows 7 is set up. I don't recall

seeing any solution to these issues on the forum, but you could try to do a

Search. It might help also to check Windows 7 error messages in its Help

files and FAQ's.
