There are many differences, too many to list really, but here are some of the major ones:

1. Elements comes with the catalog based Organizer. CS6 has the file navigation based Bridge.

2. The Elements Editor has stripped down versions of many of the same tools that CS6 has. Same tools, fewer options.

3. Elements Editor has Quick and Guided editing modes to simply workflow to the most basic needs.

4. Elements does not support CMYK and has very little support for 16-bit images.

Here, CS6 = € 955,60 and PSE10 = € 99,27.

Difference = € 856,33.

That's only part of the story. Just think about the upgrade price every 2 or 3 years...
