I used the following tutorials to to create a tabbed slide with locked navigatiion in Captivate 5.5 (I use Advanced Actions to activiate the Continue button only after all tabs are clicked).

I have intro audio associated with the slide, which plays on enter. Does anyone know how I can add audio to each tab using Advanced Actions? When I tried this, all audio files played at the same time, on top of each other.

I appreciate any help.

Recently I blogged about controlling audio objects, perhaps that article could help you:

Here is another example, where I used a lot of audio attached to all kind of objects:

The idea is that you attach the audio to an object, which can be invisible to the user (I explained that I have a special Highlight style for that purpose) and that you show the object by advanced action, which means that then the audio will start playing. You probably also will have to stop the audio (to avoid that two clips are playing together) when the user clicks on another tab in case it hasn't finish. So if you have 3 tabs, you'll have 3 audio objects and with the advanced actions you'll always show one audio object and hide the other 2.

Thank you for the links and the info--this worked!

The one issue I'm having now is that despite being hidden when the user enters the slides, the audio clips for the 4 tabs appear to be playing (although behind the scenes). This is evident because when I go click on a tab, the intro audio stops (as it should) and the audio for the selected tab plays (as it should), but it's already in progress. I'm assuming this has to do with the playhead, but I have no idea how to fix the issue.

Any ideas?

Thank you again for the information!
