The DPS team did a lot of infrastructure work, so the v21 release isn't nearly as robust as some earlier releases. Here's a list that I'll push live later today:
Viewer Version control
When you create a new folio using the v21 Folio Builder panel, you can target either the v20 or v21 viewer version. This option is especially useful if either the newest version of the Adobe Content Viewer is awaiting approval or if you’re creating folios for a v20 viewer app. If you create a v20 folio, you can edit the folio’s properties to update it to v21. However, you cannot roll back a v21 folio to v20. You cannot specify a viewer version earlier than v20.
Preview on Device for active layout (iOS)
Before v21, Preview on Device was available only for entire folios. With v21, you can now use Preview on Device in the Folio Overlays panel to preview the current layout (iOS only). Connect your iPad or iPhone to your computer and open the Adobe Content Viewer app. In the Folio Overlays panel, choose Preview on [device name].
Social Sharing improvements
Several Social Sharing limitations have been addressed. Nested overlays, buttons, videos, HTML articles, and scrollable frames now work much better in the Web Viewer. In addition, the Web Viewer now displays articles marked as Advertisement or Hide from TOC properly.
You can use the Account Administration tool to turn off Web Viewer while still enabling social sharing through the iPad.
Auto-view during folio download
When the Download or Buy button is tapped in the viewer library, the viewer displays the folio while remaining articles continue to download. Before this release, the View button became active during download, but the user had to tap it to begin viewing the folio.
Auto-download after successful subscription
When a user successfully subscribes to a viewer app, the most recent folio begins downloading automatically. Users no longer need to tap the Download button.
Well thank you for those helpful information
Auto-download after successful subscription
Will it be also automatic on "Multi folio" with no subscription ?
SO that means as soon as a users open his app it automatically download every new folio ? or is this updated folio (already dowloaded by users)
No, just subscriptions. With a multi-folio app, users still need to tap the Dowload (or Buy) button. When they do so, the folio is displayed as soon as all the high-priority articles are downloaded.
What bug fixes in V21 Viewer (IOS/Android)?
I'm still gathering that information. I'll update the release notes article when I finish.
"Preview on Device for active layout (iOS)
Before v21, Preview on Device was available only for entire folios. With v21, you can now use Preview on Device in the Folio Overlays panel to preview the current layout (iOS only). Connect your iPad or iPhone to your computer and open the Adobe Content Viewer app. In the Folio Overlays panel, choose Preview on [device name]."
This requires a little bit more explanation on how to link the iPad to the Mac.
What is the "Web Viewer" ?
Just use the USB cable. Same one you use to sync with iTunes.
Branislav, the updated "What's new" topics will have links to the appropriate topics. There's no point in going into the full details here. Quickly, Web Viewer lets users see shared articles in a web browser on a computer.

Never worked on my Mac.
No problems here.
@Branislav – no problems with me here. My configuration is:
Mac OSX 10.6.8
InDesign CS 5.5 v7.5.3
DPS v20 (at the last time I tested, soon v21 for the Folio Builder Panel)
To get it to work, you have to open the Content Viewer app on the iPad, then the connection to the option viewing on iPad is established.
BUT: with one of my students I had issues with that feature using InDesign CS5 on Mac OSX 10.5.8 (he provided his own Mac).
Never worked that out due lack of time (was the last day of the seminar I was holding).
yeah, it's good that team little bit slowed down and is working on backend too. But i'm quite a LOT missing single-issue support for iPhone
Anyway, known problem was missing support for multiple files import with CS6 files when alternative layouts are used. Is there any news in this area, or this feature is still not working?
it is also not yet possible to use PDF folios and alternative layouts from
CS6. this bug is not on the "bugs to be fixed" list. any update on that? I
will test the import feature soon, Martin.
Martin, there is no change in support for importing alternate layout InDesign documents, unfortunately.
The bugs regarding PDF folios and alternate layouts should be resolved, Johannes.
Thanks Neil, will check again and come back to you.
Yep, PDF and alternative layouts now work together. yay! thanks for the
heads up (don't know what my inital tests screwed up).
but there is a separate bug:
when using the new preview on device from the Folio Overlays panel, only
the alternative layout you have currently selected in InDesign will be
displayed on the iPad.
