2. Re: Double click does not open CR2 in Photoshop CS 6
suzicloud Jul 9, 2012 8:51 AM (in response to Curt Y)I opened Camera Raw preferences. Canon Camera Raw(.crw, .cr2) are associated with Photoshop CS6. I clicked on the dropdown leaving Photoshop CS6, then save my preferences. Now when I double click on a CR2 file in Bridge it lauches Photoshop and the image is loaded into Camera Raw. Thank you.
Unfortunately, double clicking a CR2 file in mini-Bridge continues to do nothing. Any further thoughts?

3. Re: Double click does not open CR2 in Photoshop CS 6
suzicloud Jul 9, 2012 8:59 AM (in response to suzicloud)I just checked Lightroom and the behavior reported above it the same...no change.
So I am left with issues with mini-Bridge and editing in Photoshop from Lightroom.

5. Re: Double click does not open CR2 in Photoshop CS 6
suzicloud Jul 9, 2012 11:47 AM (in response to Noel Carboni)I pressed the button. Closed and repopened Bridge. Same behavior as before. Double-clicking the CR2 image in Bridge launches Photoshop and loads the image into Camera Raw.
Double-clicking a CR2 image in mini-Bridge does nothing.
Selecting Edit in Photoshop CS6 in Lightroom immediately launches Photoshop without the dialog box, but Camera Raw does not launch. No image in Photoshop.

6. Re: Double click does not open CR2 in Photoshop CS 6
suzicloud Jul 9, 2012 12:38 PM (in response to suzicloud)I also have Photoshop CS6 installed on a Windows 7 x64 laptop. In Windows double-clicking on a CR2 image in either Bridge or mini-Bridge loads the image into Camera Raw.
Edit in Photoshop CS6 from Lightroom 4.1 launches Photoshop without the dialog box, the same as on the Mac. The image is displayed directly in Photoshop and does not launch the Camera Raw window.
My guess is that there is an issue with Camera Raw 7.1 or Lightroom 4.1 that is causing this behavior.

Curt Y Jul 9, 2012 1:20 PM (in response to suzicloud)Sounds like a Lightroom issue. Have never used the product. Try here http://forums.adobe.com/community/lightroom

suzicloud Jul 9, 2012 3:48 PM (in response to Noel Carboni)Noel,
You are correct, the image will launch in Photoshop and not Camera Raw. That said, Lightroom is supposed to give you a choice as to whether you want to edit the original file, edit a copy, or edit a copy with Lightroom Adjustments. It does not do this.
