Need to change one part of disc.

I edit weddings and would usually do a video at the beginning where you have the names of the couple and the date. I found out I need to make a change in the name, and was wondering if there was an easier way to go about making this change, as right now I would have to replace the intro movie in premiere, re-export the entire thing and import into encore and re-do the entire DVD. Is there a shorter way to do this by chance? What I need to do at most is replace the first few seconds of the video, possibly do a transition. Just thought I would ask since the entire video remains the same, just the seperate intro video changes. If i were to just cut the first part in Encore on the timeline and place the changed part up front, would that cause a conflict of some sort? Would encore play the 2 parts as one fine? Not experienced in this, hence asking.

      Thanks for any help offered.

My experience, and various complaints here, is that you are asking for problems to try modifying a timeline in Encore.

I assume you brought a transcoded asset into Encore originally. I would use the "replace asset" option. Make sure that the "new" version is a different name than the none you used before. "Should" work fine.

If you used dynamic link, "revert to original" make your changes, and transcode from there.

The problem is as it stands, the timeline is one video track and my change would make it 2. If it seems to be asking for trouble it seems I will be transcoding the entire thing then!
