1. Re: filtering within stack, non-feature or bug?
Curt Y Jul 19, 2012 6:12 PM (in response to MacWright)The filter does its work on the open images in the folder. So if the stack is open will it filter?

With the stack open in Bridge the filtering doesn't apply to the contents. Only the top file (thumbnail) responds to any filtering. For example if the top file in the stack is a PSD and the contents are JPGs, if you filter to only see JPGS the stack will be filtered and removed from view because the top file in the stack is a PSD even though the stack contains JPGs.
The non-filtering of stacks worked this way in CS5 and has been reported, I just didn't know if it fell in the bug category or whether this was never intended to work.

3. Re: filtering within stack, non-feature or bug?
Curt Y Jul 20, 2012 9:00 AM (in response to MacWright)I tried this in a test folder. Seems like you are correct. Filter does not catch them, but search still finds a keyword.

jhjang101 Aug 25, 2012 10:00 PM (in response to MacWright)I don't know if it is bug or disigned like that. What you can do is goto "view" and choose "show items "from subfolder". Then all your pics will be displayed without stack and the filter will work.
