    Making DVD in Future

    Photo_1985

Question about the build section in Encore, so here is a basic scenario.

Let’s say I make a movie than has 10 Pictures, 10 Movies (MTS) about 1 minute long each and 15 soundtracks (10 from each movie and 5 others playing through the pictures).  I edit some in After Effects and others in Premiere Pro (suite of CS 5.5).  I make my movie and Dynamic Link to Encore to build a DVD.  After building my menus and other stuff I Check the Build and all is go to build a DVD, and the DVD is written (burned).  Playback of the DVD is just what I wanted and I am happy so far. Now I may wish to make more DVD’s sometime in the future like in a couple of years.  Ok, that’s the scenario.

As I understand it, if I move or delete any of my picture, move or audio files, Premiere Pro and Encore will start asking where are the missing files and I will not be able to make another DVD until they are found.  As you know, this will take up a lot of space on the hard drive.  Question 1: is this understanding

      correct?

To get around this issue, I am thinking of making a Folder, Image, or Master of a DVD and storing it on my hard drive and back-up drive.  Then in the future I can take that Folder, Image, or Master of a DVD and use that to make more DVD’s.  Question 2: Is this a correct way to make future DVD’s?  Question 3: Which is best for this scenario, Folder, Image, or Master?  Question 4: How do I make a DVD from a Folder, Image, or Master (the one that’s best)? And Question 5:  Then I would not need to save all the Pictures, movies or soundtracks correct?

I know this is basic, so please be gentle on me.

      Thank you,
