I've been sharing with some users of Rome since the birth of the project and I still can't find an unhappy user of that beautiful tool.
If the direction that Adobe took is to bury Rome, is it possible to free the code and thus satisfy a small, young but enthusiastic community.
I agree with this wonderful idea.
The best thing to come out of Rome is proof that you can build something like this with Flex and run it with AIR! Give us developers this template app you've built and let us go to town.
It would be part of the natural course of events as far as Flex is already OpenSource.
Do we need to get a petition up not to let it waste ? Or maybe Adobe has other plans ...
Not only would releasing the code benefit Adobe by opening it up to developers & adding to the brand, but it would give life to this wonderful and beautiful piece of code!
I, too, would love to see the source behind this application, but I suspect it has been evolved into some of Adobe's latest cloud/tablet offerrings which are AIR-based, and thus will remain closed.
I thought exactly the same as far as Muse, Wallaby, Edge and so on are playing on the same ground.
the idea of open source, it's great, we all see how android developed by that, but what I required most is to make a forum website by rome.
