What is your operating system & version?

What is your web browser?

Can you describe in detail what you mean by "cannot download ... completely"?

OS = Ubuntu 10.4, 10.10, 11.4 & 11.10. web browsers = Firefox and

Google Chrome. Same problem. Problem started when an upgrade to

FP 11 appeared in the update manager. There was an indication on

some downloads that three of the 67 repositories or files could

not be accessed. Since then no videos. Have downloaded from

Adobe and installed from Ubuntu on many occasions with no success.

Apparently not enough of FP 11 is downloaded and am left with FP

10; the browsers will work only with the latest version of FP.

Have seen that message early in the attempt to cure the problem.

Chances are that you are not closing your browser that's why flash player is not being installed.

Try again. The information about FP in the Ubuntu list of

available plugins indicates it is FP 10 and apparently the

browsers will not work with any but the latest version of FP.

That message was seen early in the process. A message said

earlier in the process that 3 or 4 of the 67 repositories or

files could not be accessed.

The process of trying to cure the no video problem that has been

going on for weeks now. For a while Chrome would not open, but

an update from Ubuntu cured that. There have been various

messages and various views in place of videos. The latest on

Firefox says express install not supported on this OS, visit

Flash Player download center. Sometimes a blank screen, some

times a black screen. Always no video

Please type the following in Google Chrome's address bar: chrome://plugins.

Do you see Flash listed there?

Download Flash Player from the following page: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

You have installation instructions in the following page: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/release-note/readme-flash-player-linux.html

Thanks,

Sunil

Have upgraded to Ubuntu 12.04 with essentially the same results:

no video.

When FP 11 is installed with Ubuntu software center, some

animation is actually lost.

Apparently gnash SWP is carrying some of the animation and that

is lost when SW 11 is installed.

Ubuntu software center downloads FP 11 from Adobe.

One thing that I have not tried is to install FP 11 and disable

gnash SWP.
