Flash Player 11 Installation problem

I have been trying to install Flash Player 11 on my PC. It had no problem with the download, but when it gets to 50% of the installation I get an error box that says it cannot continue until I closed Internet Explorer. Having done this, it still will not

complete the installation.

You have to close all instances of IE; check with the Task Manager's Processes tab.

You also must close any messengers, chat clients, Skyper, etc. - anything that uses Flash Player.
