Hello:
I just recently got an update message on my computer for updating the Flash player, which i did. I then looked at the Flash player control panel and it showed that version 11.3.300.265 is installed for Active x and plug-in browsers. However, when i enter each browser [ i have Chrome, Opera,Firefox, and IE9], and access the Adobe check Flash player version link, Chrome, IE9 ,and Opera browsers show the current version installed. Firefox shows 11.3.300.262, so even though the installation said updated successfully, it did not update to 11.3.300.265
Is there a way to correct this ?? Thanks
My computer details:
Windows7 Ultimate 64 bit installed ver 6.1 build 7601 serv pack 1
Browsers installed:
IE9 32 bit ver 9.0.8112.16421
Firefox 14.0.1
Opera 12.00
Google Chrome 20.0.1132.57m
Flash Player installed [according to www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
version 11.3.300.262 in Firefox
version 11.3.300.265 in IE9, Opera, Google Chrome

There are three different versions of Flash Player on the Windows platform:
So you do have to run two installers if you run IE and other browsers.
Download the plugin installer from http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/ or wait until the auto-updater updates the Firefox plugin.
I have a long time ago requested that the two installers are combined, but so far that has not happened.
If you are in favor to combine the installers, vote for it at https://bugbase.adobe.com/index.cfm?event=bug&id=2945082

Hello Pat:
I had already run the flash player install in each browser individually
earlier today. I just tried the link that you sent for "flash player
for other browsers". The result of the "adobe flash check version is
still the same"
"You have version 11,3,300,262 installed"
So, it must be something else in particular about the Firefox browser
that is preventing the update to 11.3.300.265
I did run the check version again in Opera browser and it did say "You
have version 11,3,300,265"
Thank you for your prompt reply and please let me know when a possible
solution is found.
Respectfully;
Ed Gelpern

This is a bit weird; that Opera shows build 265 and firefox 262...
Can you tell me what file you have in C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash?
Also, can you post the contents of the FlashInstall.log file in that same folder?

The FlashInstall.log is attached to this email. Please find it above.
*note: i don't know if this is of any importance. When i tried to attach
the log file, i had to locate the windows/system32/Macromedia/Flash
folder of course. When it displayed the contents of that folder, i
noticed other files in addition to what is listed above. They are the
