I use the Batch process in Fireworks 6.0 to reduce the size of my photographs so that they will take less time to load into an HTML program. The images are in jpg format and contain several calendar attributes. The Date Picture Taken is the date attribute that disappears when I useFireworks to scale down my images.
The Fireworks batch process directs the altered images to a second directory, which is dedicated to images with reduced quality.
After Fireworks processes the images their Date Picture Taken attribute is removed. When there are many images, restoring this date is a long and tedious task.
Could someone please tell me how to force Fireworks to retain the Date Picture Taken attribute of the image?
Do you use any sort of photography workflow software—like iPhoto, Aperture, or Lightroom? I suspect you'd have better luck retaining metadata using another application to resize your images.
