Upgrading it wants a serial number but i dont have one.

I have just installed Creative Suite 2 premium and i am now doing an upgrade but its asking for a serial number but i dont have one for this product.

And what exactly are you trying to upgrade? If you're referring to CS6, then that's a "no deal" situation - minimum requirements for upgrades are CS3 or CS4 at this point. If you mean something else, clarify. otehr than that get in touch with support.
