re-authorize problem

Help!  Was not able to download books from public library.  Read forums and uninstalled Digital Editions.  Went to Adobe.com and verified Adobe ID & password.  Downloaded ADE again and hit CONTROL, SHIFT, D to de-authorize.  This worked.  However, now when trying to re-authorize ADE I get the following message and am not able to open ADE at all:  E_ADEPT_REQUEST_EXPIRED http://adeactivate.adobe.com/adept/Activate 2012-07-30T20:51:22-07:00%20(1343706682000)%20is%20before%202012-07-30T21:21:24-07:00%20(1343708484195) 

Any suggestions?

The time zone  and time is correct, checked that right away after reading comments?????
