Installing adobe flash player

I have mac version 10.8 and can't seem to install adobe flash player.  can you help?

What’s your browser? Are you able to download Flash Player from the following link: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

What exactly meant by installation fails? Do you get any error message?
