1. Re: View a photo w/o using PS
Noel Carboni Aug 9, 2012 5:14 PM (in response to pennipeter)It might be helpful to state what OS you have.
Also, what do you mean by "gets viewed"? Are you double-clicking the image in Finder or Explorer and expecting it to open in a photo viewer application?
There was a recent thread on the subject... I don't think the issue got resolved.
But rather than going into more detail, please clarify your conditions and expectations, and maybe we can suggest some things.

pennipeter Aug 9, 2012 5:51 PM (in response to Noel Carboni)Mac OS 10.7.4
Everytime I open a photo, it comes up in photoshop. I just want it on my desktop as I am done with altering it in ps
In Finder, I go to open and it opens it up in ps. I don't use explorer
Thanks Penni

janelle_f Aug 9, 2012 5:56 PM (in response to pennipeter)if it has a .psd after the title of the file, it most likely will open in photoshop. you can right click it, and open in any other image browser you prefer.
or save it as a jpg after you are done with it, and store your psd file away from the desktop .

DocPixel-BMW Aug 11, 2012 1:57 AM (in response to pennipeter)You could also try hitting the space-bar when in the Finder. Preview is built into Mac OS X since I believe Leopard (can't remember?).
But if that's too much attitude for ya... just forget I mentioned it.

DocPixel-BMW Aug 12, 2012 3:55 AM (in response to Noel Carboni)@Noel - well considering that Adobe only uses Macs and the "operating system" known as Mac OS X to demo their software, may I ask what "operating system" you consider..... nah.... forget I asked.

Noel Carboni Aug 12, 2012 4:04 AM (in response to DocPixel-BMW)Don't mind me, I was just pushing Lundberg's buttons.
Last good OS I used was Vax/VMS.

DocPixel-BMW Aug 12, 2012 4:49 AM (in response to Noel Carboni)I know... but I think he got ya. I was just pointing out a little observation as it relates to your other posts regarding Macs having more problems than Wintel boxes. You could say I was pushing your buttons as well... all in fun mind you!
