Check the FTP information in your Site Definition
It seems fine. The test works. If I can upload, should I not be able to download?
I would certainly think so.
Are you possibly downloading to a different folder?
Thanks for the idea but no.
Tested it by copying a remote file and download it.
It did download (so to the right place).
But it did download so now I need to see if it is not willing to replace older files.
CS6 the newer file on remote will not copy onto the local even though it ask permission to replace and I say yes.
On CS3, no problem. (this is my work around right now).
I can download files on cs6 that are new, however (copies as said above).
Also see if a 3rd party FTP will download
I can use Dreamweaver cs3 to download.
But I seem to have problems, at times (so far inconsistently), uploading files. Updates sometimes but other times no.
Hard to figure this out.
Any timestamp anomalies on your machine or the server?
I could successfully download a copy of a newer file with more radical changes. This is how I tested it.
Copied one on the remote. Renamed it. downloaded it to local. Then copied a different file on remote but gave it the same name as the previous downloaded file.
It did download and replace the older one.
Perhaps the minor changes on the ones I am download are not recognized with cs6 though they do with cs3.
Just for giggles, try a one minute adjustment on your local machine clock
Thanks for your suggestions. I finished updating the 60 files that I had updated via my laptop. Now downloaded through Cs3.
Next time I will copy the whole website. It will be easier!
