If I download and install 2.0.1, do I need to deactivate my existing installation before proceeding?

Is my Serial Number for CFB2 still valid for CFB2.0.1?

Unless you want to move to another machine for 2.0.1  you don't have to deactivate. Same serial key would work for 2.0.1 also.
