In the Indd files the linked files are also listed in a xmpMM:Manifest "tag" but with a "ReferenceStream" header instead of "EmbedByReference"...
Another example:
If you save a SVG file (with some linked files) in a PDF file you get in the metadatas the same informations (xmpMM:Manifest)
If you do the same from InDD you don't. The xmpMMdats in the indd file don't come in the exported PDF...
In any case, what is making me boring, is that you don't have the same behavior for the same information...
