The flash player install manager stopped at 95% on my Mac and has been like that for a couple of days now. I can't end the installer, I can't even force quit. The installer doesn't allow me to restart or turn off the computer, because it's "still installing".
How can I solve this problem? Please help me!

Flash Player is EOL. It is no longer being maintained or receiving security updates, and most browsers will be removing support for all browser plug-ins in upcoming releases. We strongly recommend that you uninstall at this point.

Hi,
I'm sorry you're having problems installing. Let's try the following: After mounting the Flash Player dmg, right click the "Install Adobe Flash Player" icon and select "Show Package Contents". From there, go into the Contents/Resources folder and run the file named "Adobe Flash Player.pkg".
Thanks,
Chris

Hi,
I didn't get the option of "Show Package Contents". When I right click, I just get "Show all Windows" or "Show". They both take me to an updater screen. It has a loading bar at the bottom. There is the option to click "Details", but that just links me to the following website:

Hello,
Did you tried Flash Player 11.2, Flash Player Archived : http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html
Use Flash Player uinstaller (http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-mac-os.html) to clean any instance for Flash Player.
Thanks,

Hi,
I followed the link and it said that it successfully uninstalled, but the loading window is still there. It still won't let me quit.

Hello,
Can you access "Activity Monitor" from "Spotlight" and try Force Quitting the Process.
Once process quits then you can try installing Flash 11.4 from http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer or Flash 11.2 from above post.
Thanks
Vikram

I suspect the key will be getting into the package contents as I posted earlier. This should be doable by right clicking on the installer as described, if you'd like help please feel free to contact me directly at ccampbel@adobe.com.
Thanks,
Chris

this same thing has happened to me - I've done what you said and when the installer window appears it says that it's waiting for other installations to complete... the installer itself still hasn't moved from 95%
