My Adobe update installer suggested this file: install_flashplayer11x32_mssd_au_aih.exe
I see on the Adobe site and all over Google, etc. that the filename should just read:
install_flashplayer11x32_mssd_aih.exe (no "au" in the middle)
I did not install this file, and went directly to the Adobe download page to get the correct file. They are both 976KB
Can anyone explain why the file name is different for me, and doesn't appear to exist anywhere on the web? Did I get singled out for some reason?
Thanks.

That is not really an installer, but a download helper. Download the full installer(s) from http://helpx.adobe.com/content/help/en/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-windows.ht...

Thank you for your response, Pat W. I understand what you're saying, and have already downloaded the proper file. My concern is that the update process used the filename I posted, not the one everyone else refers to. Why did mine have the "au" in the file name leading me to think I had malware? I didn't run that file in case it loaded some other 'nefarioius' file. Do a search for this 'download helper file' on Google and it does not exist with "au" in the name. Seems odd that a unique download helper would exist - yes?
Thank you again.
