Using RH6 HTML.
No matter what I have tried, while I can open the project, I cannot open any of the files.
"RoboHelp HTML Application has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
Please tell Microsoft about this problem."
The report reads like this:
AppName: robohtml.exe | AppVer: 6.0.99.0 | ModName: iwysiwyg.dll |
ModVer: 6.0.99.0 | Offset: 000390ac |
and also indicates this file would be sent to Microsoft: C:\WINDOWS\Temp\1cbb_appcompat.txt
Thanks for your help.

Hi there
So what's new?
Did you upgrade the operating system? If so, what were you using before and what are you using now?
If you were on Windows XP and were upgraded to Windows 7, perhaps that's the reason. In that case you need to upgrade RoboHelp to a recent version that's compatible.
Where is the project located? Local C drive or on a network drive?
If on a network drive, try moving things to the local C drive.
As you can see, we need more information.
Cheers... Rick

Rick,
Thank you for your quick response. Sorry my info is incomplete.
I have been using, and still use Windows XP with the latest patch. This is no change.
The project is located on Local C.
Thanks,

Thanks for the info!
Likely you need to take the divide and conquer approach.
Create a new project. Add a couple of topics. Things okay? If so, you have proven that RoboHelp is intact and should work.
Now import half the topics from the errant project. Did the import go okay? Problem may lie with the other half. Repeat the process with the other half.
The key is to narrow down which topic(s) is/are causing the crash.
Cheers... Rick

Rick,
Thank you for your assistance. I deleted and recreated a new version of the suspected file and that fixed the problem.
Best regards, RoboDummy
