Flash and Shockwave stopped working on Firefox for me - as requested by webpages and reinstalled and reinstalled the programs several times over the past couple weeks but no change. These work fine on Chrome and IE. Anyone know what is problem with Firefox and how to fix so will run Flash?

What is your operating system?
What exactly means "stopped working"?

Hi - Windows 7 and nothing Flash even shows on the screen in Firefox on most webpages. On BBC one sees a place to click to start a video, but after clicking nothing happens - basically a washout - but does work in Chrome and IE - Thanks

Hi I have Firefox, too. I was having a problem viewing anything requiring the Flash player (I can't remember the version, but I think it was 11 and it was on August 1 if that helps). I tried an uninstall on Version 11 and then installed again. No change. I think I found something on Firefox questions or forums (sorry, don't remember) and it was suggested to revert back to Version 10. I had to uninstall the current Flash and revert back to the 10.3.183 version. Works great now. Hope this helps.

Can you see the Flash animation at http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/find-version-flash-player.html ?
If not, type about:addons in the Firefox address bar; can you see Shockwave Flash, and is it enabled?
