How do I disable Internet Explorer to I can download the Flashplayer?  When ever I try it

goes to 50% and tells me I have to disable explorer.  How do I do that?

You must close Internet Explorer, not disable it.

Download the offline installer from http://helpx.adobe.com/content/help/en/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-windows.ht... and save it to disk, then close all browser windows and run the downloaded installer.

I am experiencing the same problem, even when IE is closed the installation stops at this point and won't continue. I apparently already have flash player 11.5 installed but Amazon says I do not even though I played a video there a few weeks ago
