Am encoding a DVD file that is five hours long, I used a bit rate calculator that indicated to me that the bit rate should be 1.8, which is roughly about 6gb, so I will have to use a dual layer disc, but what do I what to know, how do you what is a good or bad bit rate to use!!
It depends on the material. Some users think talking heads are okay at very low bitrates. Use a bit calculator for your dual layer, then transcode a short sample, but to a rewriteable disk, and see how you like it.
