I have tried everything I can think of and I have even googled answers and tried going to the site to trouble shoot. I have turned off my virus protection, I have tried turning off User account control. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the new version and old versions. I get the same response at the end of "installation". It tells me it is unable to write it because the lack of sufficent permissions. I don't understand because it is done on the administrative account. It is the ONLY account on the computer. We have NEVER had so much trouble.

I have Windows Vista home and we use Mozilla Firefox. Firefox is up to date. Anytime we log on to it it's a battle because flash keeps crashing. I am at my wits end. Please help!

Try installing from the Offline Installer. It may be a temporary folder permissions error, so this may fix it. Here is a link to try to download from:

http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/support/install_flash_player.exe

If that doesn't work, try this one: http://www.filehippo.com/download_flashplayer_firefox/

Let me know if this works!

If Geeks suggestion above does not work, you may try running MS Fix it solution > http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971187

Hope this helps!
